Molden is a famous mountain in the area and very popular among the locals. The hike lasts 3-4 hours as a round-trip.
We start from the place called Krossen where there is a moderate hike up to Svarthiller. You walk through forest and up the mountainside. Sherpas from Nepal have made steps that makes the hike easier at some places, moving earth and rock with their bare hands. At Svarthiller we take a break and enjoy the views over to the village Ornes on the other side of the fjord.

When reaching the top you will see the Lustrafjord streaching in three directions and you will see all the way over to the highest peaks in Jotunheimen.
