Fjord and Glacier Tour
Fjord, mountains and glacier in one day!
Fjord, mountains and glacier in one day!
This tour is a wonderful opportunity to discover both the beautiful Sognefjord and the mighty Nigardsbreen glacier, accompanied and taken care of by private guides. Close by Tørvis hotel in Marifjøra, you board an open and secure Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB), ready to experience the fjord landscape, cultural history and a refreshing breeze in your hair.
After a lunch break and a 35 min. drive, you are ready for the second part of your trip: a guided walk on the Nigardsbreen glacier in Jostedalsbreen National Park. An experienced guide from the local guide company in Jostedalen will welcome, inform and equip you, before you cross the glacier lake, where impressive nature awaits and the glacier walk can start. This is a landscape of snow and ice, with cracks and ice spikes. If conditions allow it, you may even venture into some of the cracks and caves made by the power of the glacier.
